Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix was second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. The following year she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. The youngest to win the 200 meters during the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record time and time again in 2007 beating her the long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her races.
